The Sokendai KEK Summer Student Program 2025 is now open for applications! This fully funded research program in Japan offers international and Japanese students the chance to participate in groundbreaking research under the guidance of faculty at the KEK campuses in Tsukuba and Tokai.

Details About Sokendai KEK Summer Student Program 2025 in Japan

Financial Benefits
The Program Covers:
- Airfares: Costs associated with flights to and from the participant’s home country to Japan.
- Accommodation Fees: Charges for staying during the program.
- Per Diems: A fixed daily allowance of 1,500 yen for living expenses.
- Domestic Travel Costs: Expenses for transportation between the airport (Narita/Haneda).

Students will be engaged in the following Fields either at Tsukuba campus or at J-PARC:
- Elementary Particle physics
- Nuclear Physics
- Material & life science
- Accelerator science
- Advanced Detection System（Sensors/ Electronics/Computing)
- Theory (computational methods in quantum field theory, i.e. Lattice QCD)
Eligibility Criteria
- Both International and Japanese Students can apply.
- Undergraduate and Master’s Degree students can apply.
- IELTS is not required.
